Conversations with little boys

Zander laying on the floor on his stomach, Kaiden sitting next to him.  Kaiden wraps his arms around Z's neck and says "I holdin' yers head, daddy!"

*boys hit each other*
E - Guys go to time out
*Noah sits in time out*
N - Kaiden come sit by me.  I'm sorry.  I didn't mean for this to happen

E - Noah go wake up your Daddy
N - That's not my real Daddy.  That's my robot Daddy.  I made him in my robot factory in the attic.

Z - Noah guess what I bought today?
N - What?
Z - An iPad.
N - For me?!
Z - uh.....no

N - Toyota?  There's a Yoda, like on Star Wars!

E - Kaiden it stinks in here.  Did you fart?
K - No, Daddy farted!

N - Mommy did you go running?
E - yup, I just got back
N - I don't think you went running.  I think you just stayed here and taked a nap.

N - then the monster cut his own head off of himself, then put it on the ground.  Then it boomed right up!
E - Noah what are you talking about?
N - Monsters
E - Where did you learn about monsters?
N - Wal-mart

Post-Christmas

The last week has been full of fun, family, food, and presents.  So today we decided to take things easy, stay home, relax, and just be.  Part of that, of course, involves the boys taking a nice long bath.  Lately I've been trying to make bath time more entertaining.  There's always some cool surprise waiting in the bath tub for them.  We did a car wash a while ago, and then a stuffed animal wash.  Today, we threw some water balloons into the mix.  Some are full of water, some half water half air, and some all air.  All were popped in about 10 minutes, and each time there was a pop, there were gales of laughter and screaming.  Days like this make it really easy to enjoy being a mom.

Sleepy Boys

These boys have been way off schedule due to all the Christmas festivities.  Sometimes they just don't make it until it's time for bed.

Christmas Street

Zander's sister happens to live on Christmas street.  It's a street up in Sugarhouse that goes all out when it comes to Christmas.  Ironically all the Indo kids grew up going to Christmas street every year, so it's even more awesome for them that Jenn ended up living there, and that we get to keep this tradition going for the next generation.  This year the weather turned pretty bad for the Christmas Street Party, but it was still really cool.  Santa was there with a stocking for each kid, and each stocking was personalized for that child.  Our boys were feeling a little under the weather from the marathon of illnesses we've had lately, and Kaiden is still afraid of Santa, but they were both still really excited to see that he was there.  We snagged some donuts from Santa's elves, then headed back to Jenn's house to all hang out for a while.  Great times.

Everyone's Been Sick

Three weeks ago the boys came down with little colds.  Nothing too serious, just enough to make for messy noses, and slightly grumpy and tired boys.

Two weeks ago I got their cold, and it knocked me flat for a couple of days.  And Kaiden got diarrhea for some reason.

This week Zander got pink eye and a sinus infection on Sunday.  Both boys had runny noses, again.  On Wednesday Noah had a fever and started barfing, and kept going for 36 hours, resulting in a trip to the doctors office for him.  We finally got him feeling better, just in time for Kaiden to get an ear infection on Saturday.  The doctors office was all booked up and closing, so we called Papa Alan and got him some antibiotics.

Thankfully now we're finally all healthy.  Z and K are still finishing up their antibiotics, but at least things are back to normal.

Pretty sure the pictures speak for themselves.  No explanations needed on this one.

Weekend Stay-Cation

It was time for Zander and I to have a weekend get away.  But we didn't want to pay for the hotel that would be required.  So we did a stay-cation instead.  It's a lot cheaper, and we get to sleep in our own bed.  After dropping the kids off at Grandma's house we did some shopping, went to a late lunch, were lazy for a while, went to an amazing movie, had a late dinner, got some dessert to go, snuggled up on the couch and fell asleep to a movie.  In the morning we slept in, had a lazy breakfast, then went and got the kids.  This man that is my husband is amazing, and makes me laugh, and takes care of me.  You know that you're meant to be together forever when you're walking into a movie and talking about going movie hopping when you're 80 years old.  Seriously, the two of us just fit.

Bowling Time

Whenever the Indo siblings get together, a good time is guaranteed.  This time the getting together involved a bowling alley, pizza, arcade games, tickets, and prizes.  This is what happened next.....

Family Dinner Fun

Tonight we had dinner with some of Z's family.  His mother, sister, and her husband came over and we had a yummy dinner and some fun times.  Especially the boys.  They had lots and lots of fun with their Auntie Mindo tonight.

'Tis the Season!!!

Look what I found at the grocery store today!  I knew the holidays were coming, obviously by the date, and the ever-changing weather, but THIS little beauty really confirmed that winter is coming.

Punkin Time!

Here is this years punkin collection!!!  On the left, the top is Noah's, the little one is Kaiden's, and the big one is kind of up for grabs.  On the right, the one in the back is Zander's, the big flat squished one is mine, and the one in front is Noah's other one, that I will inevitably carve I'm sure.  Aren't they fun?!

Bats!

This year the bats are trying to escape up the stairs.

I know that I only started doing the bats last year, but I love my little flock of bats.  It's fun to try and figure out where I'm going to put them each time I get them out.

Post-California Vegas Trip

After a very busy week in Disneyland, we decided that we needed some down time in Vegas to recover.   So we hung out with our Robinson friends, ate a bunch, played a bunch, and just had a nice couple of days.  I think the highlight of all of this for the boys was getting to just go play at a park.  No lines, no rules, just all play.

California - Back to Disneyland

Our third and final day in Disneyland was spent going through Toon Town, riding the train, and visiting again our favorite rides from the first day we were there.  It being our third day, we were able to just take things slowly, since there wasn't anything left that we HAD to get done.  I think it was my favorite day.  Beautiful weather, beautiful family, and just lots of simple fun.

Noah really really wanted to ride on the 'big mountain' ride, aka the Matterhorn.  I was worried he would think the yeti was too scary, but he thought it was lots of fun, and wanted to do it again later with Zander.

Kaiden and I got to ride on the carousel together while Zander and Noah went and did one of the bigger rides.  This kid seriously is so adorable!

The Electric Company door in Toon Town.  When you pull on it, it makes electricity noises.  Noah thought that it was hilarious.

Me and Noah on Splash Mountain.  I was really surprised how much he liked it, but he thought the big drop was a lot of fun.

My adorable Kaiden boy on the tea cups.  He kept saying "faster, faster, faster!"

California - A Day Off

After doing a whole lot of driving, and then playing at Seaworld and Disneyland for a couple of days, we needed a day off.  We had a lazy morning, played in the pool for a while, went out to lunch (non-resort food!!!), and then hung out in Downtown Disney.  We had a surprisingly good time hanging out down there.  We got some beignets (K had two bananas), played at the Lego Store, and then spoiled the boys in World of Disney.
